Job Title: English Teacher

Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time

Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher ready to inspire young people and make a lasting impact in the classroom? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is looking for a committed English Teacher to join their team immediately.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their reading, writing and analytical skills while building confidence in English. You will plan and deliver creative lessons, assess pupil progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners. Working alongside a supportive English department, you will play an important role in helping students achieve their academic potential.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Assess, monitor and record student progress.

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual students.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.

Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A passion for delivering high-quality English lessons.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
