Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Primary)
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident leading a primary classroom and passionate about supporting children's learning? A welcoming primary school in Doncaster is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Primary Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged with the work provided. You will encourage positive behaviour, provide classroom support where needed and help maintain a calm, structured learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or experienced education professionals looking to build their primary school experience.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 using lesson plans provided by the class teacher.

Encourage pupils to remain engaged and complete their learning activities.

Maintain positive behaviour in line with the school's policies.

Support pupils with their learning while promoting independence.

Record attendance and provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.

Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents where appropriate.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.

Confidence managing groups of pupils across a range of primary year groups.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A calm, patient and adaptable approach.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
