Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to work with active schools in Sheffield. This opportunity is perfect for qualified teachers who can inspire pupils through engaging physical education, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create an inclusive environment where every learner can participate and succeed.

The PE Teacher delivers dynamic physical education lessons that develop pupils' fitness, sporting ability, and confidence while encouraging participation, resilience, and respect through sport.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to a wide range of sporting interests and abilities
  • Inspire pupils to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through physical activity
  • Adapt activities to ensure every pupil can participate safely and confidently
  • Monitor pupils' physical progress and set achievable targets to support continuous improvement
  • Coordinate school sporting events, tournaments, and extracurricular enrichment programmes
  • Encourage a positive attitude towards health, wellbeing, and lifelong participation in physical activity

PE Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching Physical Education in a secondary school setting or similar
  • Strong knowledge of a broad range of sports and the PE curriculum
  • Ability to motivate pupils through creative and inclusive teaching approaches
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
