Job Title: Early Years Teacher

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting dedicated Early Years Teacher (EYT) to work in schools across Sheffield. We would like to hear from qualified teachers who are passionate about supporting children's development during their formative years. You will create an inspiring classroom where every child feels encouraged to explore, develop confidence, and build the foundations for lifelong learning.
The Early Years Teacher delivers high-quality teaching that nurtures children's academic, social, emotional, and creative development through engaging, child-centred learning experiences.
Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver stimulating EYFS lessons that encourage exploration, creativity, and independent learning
- Use observations and formative assessments to monitor progress and tailor learning experiences
- Develop children's early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills through interactive teaching
- Establish positive routines that promote confidence, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and carers to support each child's individual learning journey
- Maintain an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, respected, and motivated to succeed
Early Years Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting
- Secure understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
- Ability to deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-organised lessons
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
