Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join fabulous schools in Sheffield. This rewarding role is ideal for caring professionals who are committed to supporting children's development through engaging activities, positive relationships, and high-quality early years education.

The Early Years Practitioner provides engaging learning experiences, supports children's individual development, and helps maintain a safe, stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative learning opportunities that support children's cognitive, physical, and emotional development
  • Encourage children's curiosity through structured play, storytelling, and hands-on activities
  • Observe, assess, and record developmental milestones to support future planning
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence through daily interactions
  • Prepare and maintain an organised, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
  • Build effective partnerships with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's progress

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • Experience working within an Early Years, nursery, preschool, or school setting
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
