Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking dedicated Behaviour Support to work with amazing schools in Doncaster. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional wellbeing, and helping pupils overcome barriers that affect their learning. Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams, you will contribute to creating a structured and supportive environment where every pupil can succeed.

The Behaviour Support is going to build positive relationships with pupils, promotes constructive behaviour, and supports the development of the personal and social skills needed for success in school.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual mentoring sessions that encourage positive attitudes and responsible decision-making
  • Support pupils in developing strategies to manage emotions and respond positively to challenges
  • Work alongside teachers to implement personalised behaviour and engagement plans
  • Encourage pupils to participate confidently in lessons and wider school activities
  • Identify and report safeguarding or wellbeing concerns in accordance with school procedures
  • Contribute to behaviour reviews by maintaining accurate records and monitoring pupil progress

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, care, or mentoring
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused in challenging situations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and inclusive practice
  • Reliable, resilient, and committed to supporting pupil development
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
