Salary Scale: £130 - £180 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated, adaptable, and enthusiastic Supply Teacher to work across secondary schools in York.

About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, maintain high standards of classroom management, and ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will quickly adapt to different school environments while creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students can thrive.
Core Responsibilities of the Supply Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons across your subject specialism or provide general classroom cover as required
- Follow school policies and lesson plans to ensure continuity of learning
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and create a productive learning environment
- Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups, and classroom settings
- Assess student understanding and provide feedback where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with school staff to support positive educational outcomes
As the Ideal Supply Teacher, You Should Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to teaching
- Ability to engage and motivate students across a range of abilities
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and delivering high-quality education
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent teaching experience within an educational setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
