Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to work within a supportive secondary school in North Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Counselling, Mental Health, or Social Work. Working alongside experienced teachers, pastoral teams, and SEND professionals, you will support students with a range of academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
About the Role:
As a Psychology Graduate, you will provide classroom, one-to-one, and small-group support for secondary-aged students. You will help learners overcome barriers to education, develop positive coping strategies, and build the confidence needed to engage successfully in school life.
Core Responsibilities of the Psychology Graduate:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining an inclusive learning environment
- Support the implementation of intervention programmes that promote wellbeing, resilience, and positive behaviour
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, confidence, and academic progress
- Monitor student development and provide feedback to teachers and pastoral staff where appropriate
- Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
As the Ideal Psychology Graduate, You Should Have:
- A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
- A genuine interest in supporting young people within an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting learners
- Ability to build positive relationships and work effectively as part of a wider school team
- Experience working with children or young people through education, mentoring, coaching, care, or voluntary work is desirable but not essential
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience working with children or young people or transferable experience in a relevant setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
