Location: Hull
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September 2026
Are you a skilled and passionate Vocational Teacher looking to inspire learners through practical, career-focused education? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Vocational Teacher to work within an Alternative Provisions, Secondary Inclusuion, or further education settings across Hull.
This is an excellent opportunity to support students in developing the practical skills, confidence, and knowledge needed for further education, apprenticeships, and future employment.
The Role as a Vocational Teacher:
As a Vocational Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons in your specialist vocational area.

Inspire learners through hands-on, industry-relevant teaching and learning.

Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support staff to maximise student outcomes.

Requirements of a Vocational Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, or substantial industry experience with a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.

Experience teaching or training within a vocational or further education setting is desirable.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
