Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in vibrant schools across Doncaster. We would like to hear from enthusiastic individuals who enjoy supporting pupils in their learning, encouraging positive classroom engagement, and working collaboratively with teachers to deliver high-quality education. You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while contributing to a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
The Teaching Assistant provides practical and academic support across the classroom, helping pupils remain engaged, develop essential skills, and achieve positive learning outcomes.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide learning support tailored to individual pupils and small intervention groups
- Reinforce lesson objectives by guiding pupils through classroom activities and tasks
- Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and the preparation of teaching resources
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and effective study habits
- Support the implementation of behaviour expectations to maintain a positive learning environment
- Communicate pupil achievements and areas for development with teaching staff
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Patient, enthusiastic, and supportive approach to working with pupils
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of teaching staff
- Reliable, organised, and committed to supporting inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
