Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting reliable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work with inclusive schools in Doncaster. This role is ideal for confident individuals who can supervise lessons, maintain high classroom standards, and encourage pupils to stay focused throughout the school day. Whether you are an experienced Cover Supervisor or looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching, this opportunity offers an excellent pathway into education.
The Cover Supervisor ensures continuity of learning by managing classrooms effectively, supervising pre-planned lessons, and promoting a productive and respectful learning environment.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials
- Establish clear classroom expectations to encourage respectful behaviour and active participation
- Support pupils in completing learning tasks independently while offering appropriate guidance
- Resolve minor classroom issues professionally and escalate concerns in line with school procedures
- Collect completed work and provide detailed feedback to teaching staff following each lesson
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and attendance policies throughout the school day
Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable
- Confident leading groups and communicating effectively with pupils
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms, subjects, and school environments
- Strong organisational skills and a calm, professional approach
- Genuine interest in supporting young people's learning and development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
