Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a motivated, caring, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within a forward-thinking secondary school in North Yorkshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you will provide tailored support that promotes academic progress, personal development, and positive engagement with learning.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning, develop confidence, and encourage independence. You will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Core Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students achieve their learning goals
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and active participation in classroom activities
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation
- Support students with additional learning needs through differentiated approaches where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to promote positive student outcomes
As the Ideal Teaching Assistant, You Should Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare, or support setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, positive, and adaptable approach to supporting learners
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and work effectively within a team
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards learning support
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their full potential
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience working with children or young people
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
