Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting skilled Key Stage 2 Teacher to work with schools in Barnsley. We are looking for committed educators who can deliver engaging lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and help pupils build the confidence and knowledge needed for a successful transition into secondary education. The KS2 Teacher delivers high-quality teaching, supports pupils' academic and personal development, and creates an inclusive classroom where every learner is encouraged to succeed.
Key Stage 2 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative lessons that develop pupils' knowledge, confidence, and independent thinking
- Differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
- Track attainment through regular assessment and use outcomes to inform future planning
- Foster a respectful classroom culture that promotes collaboration, resilience, and curiosity
- Support pupils' preparation for statutory assessments and the transition to secondary education
- Contribute to school improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and parental engagement activities
Key Stage 2 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 in a primary school setting or similar
- Secure knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective assessment practices
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils through engaging and inclusive teaching
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
