Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint dedicated Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to work in schools across Sheffield. This opportunity is ideal for caring professionals who enjoy supporting children's early learning through play, exploration, and positive relationships. Working within an Early Years setting, you will help create an engaging environment where every child feels safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

The Early Years Practitioner nurtures children's development by delivering high-quality learning experiences, supporting daily routines, and promoting the social, emotional, and educational growth of every child.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Deliver stimulating play-based activities that support all areas of children's development
  • Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop communication skills
  • Support children's personal care, wellbeing, and daily routines where appropriate
  • Create engaging learning spaces that encourage curiosity and independent exploration
  • Monitor developmental milestones and contribute to assessments and progress records
  • Build positive partnerships with parents and carers to support children's ongoing development

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an Early Years, nursery, preschool, or school setting
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Caring, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach to supporting young children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to provide a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
