Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to work with fabulous schools in Barnsley. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's early development and creating positive learning experiences.
The Early Years Practitioner supports children's learning and development through engaging activities, meaningful interactions, and high-quality care that reflects the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration and creativity
- Support children's language, communication, and social development through daily interactions
- Observe children's progress and contribute to learning journals and developmental records
- Encourage positive routines that promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing
- Prepare stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire curiosity
- Work closely with colleagues and families to provide consistent support for each child's development
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Experience working in an Early Years, nursery, preschool, or school setting
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents
- Strong teamwork and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
