Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint committed Behaviour Support to work with fabulous schools in Rotherham. This role is suited to individuals who can build positive relationships, encourage constructive behaviour, and provide consistent guidance to pupils who require additional emotional or behavioural support.
The Behaviour Support promotes positive behaviour, supports pupils in developing emotional resilience, and works collaboratively with school staff to improve engagement, attendance, and learning outcomes.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Mentor pupils by setting achievable behavioural and personal development goals
- Deliver structured interventions that encourage positive attitudes towards learning
- Identify triggers affecting behaviour and implement appropriate support strategies
- Reinforce school expectations through consistent guidance and positive role modelling
- Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to support pupil progress
- Complete behaviour reports and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience in behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, education, or a similar role
- Ability to establish professional relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Resilient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting young people
- Good written and verbal communication skills with excellent record-keeping abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
