Sports Coach
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach with a passion for inspiring children and young people through physical activity?
GSL Education South Yorkshire are seeking dedicated Sports Coaches to work in schools across Doncaster. The successful Sports Coach will support students in developing their physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and overall wellbeing. Working closely with teachers and school staff, you will play a key role in delivering engaging sports sessions and promoting positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities of a Sports Coach:
- Deliver engaging sports, fitness, and physical activity sessions to individuals and groups of students.
- Support students in developing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
- Encourage participation in physical education lessons and extracurricular sporting activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive environment for all learners.
- Assist teaching staff in managing classroom and recreational activities where required.
- Support students with varying abilities and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
- Always maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements of a Sports Coach:
- Previous experience working as a Sports Coach, PE Coach, Activity Leader, or in a similar role is desirable.
- Experience working with children and young people in educational, sports, youth work, or community settings is advantageous.
- A passion for sport, fitness, and helping young people achieve their potential.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students of all abilities.
- A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
