Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join schools across Barnsley. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining practical skills with innovative teaching to engage learners.
As a D&T Teacher, you will deliver hands-on and theory-based lessons across areas such as resistant materials, product design, or food technology. The successful candidatewill be confident in managing practical workshops and encouraging students to develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across key stages
- Teach a range of DT specialisms such as product design, resistant materials, or food technology.
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment.
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support.
- Inspire students to think creatively and develop practical skills.
Requirements for the DT Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
