Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a passionate Geography Teacher ready to inspire students to explore the world around them?

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join welcoming schools in Barnsley. This role is ideal for an educator who can deliver engaging lessons, encourage curiosity about the world, and help students develop a strong understanding of both physical and human geography.

As a Geography Teacher, you will create a stimulating learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, analyse global issues, and develop key geographical skills. The successful individual will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across all key stages
  • Inspire students through interactive and well-structured lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Humanities department and school community.

Requirements for the Geography Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Geography in a school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for Geography and helping students achieve academic success.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
