Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to work in schools in Sheffield. We are looking for energetic and dedicated educators who can motivate pupils to participate in physical activity, develop teamwork and resilience, and achieve their full potential both on and off the field. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils' physical wellbeing and personal development.

The PE Teacher will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons, encouraging pupils to develop confidence, fitness, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity in a safe and inclusive environment.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality physical education lessons across a range of sports and activities
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition through inclusive participation
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school competitions
  • Assess pupils' physical development and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Promote safe practice by maintaining high standards of health and safety during all activities
  • Contribute to wider school initiatives that encourage physical wellbeing and active lifestyles

PE Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and a range of sporting activities
  • Ability to motivate pupils of all abilities and encourage active participation
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
