Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking motivated Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to join schools in Sheffield. We are looking for qualified educators who can inspire pupils to explore computing, programming, and digital technologies through engaging and practical lessons.
The Computer Studies Teacher will deliver a dynamic curriculum that develops computational thinking, digital literacy, and programming skills while creating an inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to innovate and achieve.
Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum
- Teach topics including programming, computer systems, cybersecurity, and digital literacy
- Design practical learning activities that develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills
- Track pupil attainment and provide timely feedback to support academic progress
- Promote the safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology both inside and outside the classroom
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and departmental initiatives
Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing in a secondary school
- Strong knowledge of computing concepts and current digital technologies
- Ability to inspire pupils with engaging and innovative teaching approaches
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
