Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Sheffield. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who enjoy supporting pupils both academically and personally while working closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Teaching Assistant has the opportunity provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, and contribute to creating an inclusive environment where every pupil feels encouraged to achieve.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist pupils with classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated throughout lessons
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Prepare and organise classroom resources to support effective lesson delivery
- Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and participation in daily learning
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet the individual needs of learners
- Observe pupil progress and share feedback to support ongoing development
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in school setting or similar
- Positive, patient, and supportive approach to working with pupils
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team
- Flexible and proactive attitude towards supporting classroom learning
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
