Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Leeds LS1
Pay Rate: £110 - £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting committed Teaching Assistant to work in amazing schools in Leeds LS1. We are keen to hear from enthusiastic individuals who enjoy supporting children in the classroom, encouraging confidence, and helping to create an engaging learning environment.

The TA will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and help ensure every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective classroom lessons
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils when required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning
  • Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting pupil wellbeing and achievement
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
