Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive secondary school in North Yorkshire.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed both academically and personally. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you will provide targeted classroom support, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all learners.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, working with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning, encourage participation, and promote independence. You will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning while contributing to a safe and supportive school community.
Core Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities across the curriculum
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students achieve their learning objectives
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and active participation in lessons
- Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
- Support students with additional learning needs, adapting your approach where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to promote positive student outcomes
As the Ideal Teaching Assistant, You Should Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare, or support setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, positive, and adaptable approach to supporting learners
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards learning support
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their full potential
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience working with children or young people
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
