Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are working with thriving schools in Sheffield to appoint dedicated Behaviour Support. We would like to hear from individuals who can build meaningful relationships with pupils, promote positive behaviour, and provide consistent support to those facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
The Behaviour Support will work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to encourage positive attitudes towards learning, strengthen pupils' emotional wellbeing, and help create a safe, structured, and inclusive school environment.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Mentor pupils to improve behaviour, confidence, and classroom participation
- Support the implementation of behaviour plans and individual support strategies
- Encourage positive decision-making and help pupils develop effective coping skills
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain a calm and productive learning environment
- Provide pastoral support during lessons, breaktimes, and other school activities
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to behaviour reviews and support meetings
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people in education, youth work, care, or a similar environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Confident managing challenging situations with patience and professionalism
- Flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
- Genuine commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
