Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant for welcoming schools in Doncaster. We are recruiting individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and can provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with young people and helping them grow in confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to provide personalised support that enables pupils to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals within a positive and inclusive school environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist pupils with a variety of learning, communication, and developmental needs during lessons
- Deliver targeted interventions that support academic progress and personal development
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and reassurance
- Work alongside teachers to implement individual education and support plans
- Help create an inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued and supported
- Maintain accurate observations and communicate pupil progress with the wider school team
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEND, or additional needs
- Compassionate and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting pupils
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of different learners
- Positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
