Job Title: Math Teacher

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting Mathematics Teacher for amazing schools in Doncaster. We would like to hear from confident and knowledgeable educators who can build pupils’ understanding of mathematical concepts, encourage independent thinking, and create lessons that support consistent academic progress.
The Math Teacher will play an important role in helping pupils strengthen their numerical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills while maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.
Maths Teacher Responsibilities:
- Introduce mathematical concepts through clear explanations, worked examples, and practical applications
- Adapt lesson content and questioning to challenge pupils at different levels of attainment
- Identify gaps in knowledge and provide focused support to improve understanding
- Use assessment outcomes to plan interventions and set appropriate learning targets
- Encourage pupils to explain their reasoning and develop independent problem-solving strategies
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and shared teaching resources
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching Mathematics in a school setting
- Secure subject knowledge across the relevant curriculum
- Ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and accessible way
- Confident approach to managing behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
