Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint Geography Teacher for thriving schools in Barnsley. We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable educators who can deliver engaging lessons, encourage curiosity about the physical and human world, and help pupils develop analytical and geographical skills.
The Geography Teacher role offers the opportunity to inspire learners through high-quality teaching, fostering critical thinking while helping pupils understand global issues, environments, and cultures.
Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress to support their academic development
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
- Encourage curiosity through fieldwork, enquiry-based learning, and interactive classroom activities
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil achievement
Geography Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching Geography in a school setting
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Commitment to delivering engaging and high-quality education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
