Job Title: PE Teacher

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher for active school in Sheffield. We want an energetic and dedicated educator who can deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons, encourage teamwork and resilience, and inspire pupils to develop a lifelong appreciation for sport and fitness.

The PE Teacher role offers the opportunity to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where pupils can build confidence, improve their physical abilities, and develop essential life skills through a broad range of sporting activities.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Promote participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles through a variety of sporting activities
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress to support their physical development
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all learners
  • Ensure a safe learning environment by following health and safety procedures during practical activities
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and wider school events where appropriate

PE Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching Physical Education in a school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Passion for promoting physical wellbeing and pupil participation
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
