Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Part Time, Supply, Temporary
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to work in secondary schools across Scarborough from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher to inspire young people and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from individuals who are committed to helping students develop a curiosity and appreciation for Science.
About the Role
As a Teacher of Science, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning.
- Maintain effective classroom management and uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising achievement and supporting every learner to reach their full potential.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
