Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to work within a supportive secondary school in North Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Counselling, Social Work, or Mental Health Support. Working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, you will help students overcome barriers to learning while promoting their confidence, wellbeing, and academic progress.
About the Role:
As a Psychology Graduate, you will provide classroom, pastoral, and targeted intervention support for students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work closely with learners who may require additional support with their social, emotional, behavioural, or learning needs, helping them engage positively with school life and achieve their full potential.
Core Responsibilities of the Psychology Graduate:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and creating an inclusive learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and student engagement
- Support the implementation of intervention strategies and individual support plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to support positive student outcomes
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records where required
As the Ideal Psychology Graduate, You Should Have:
- A degree in Psychology
- A genuine interest in supporting young people within an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with students
- Ability to build positive relationships and work effectively as part of a team
- Experience working with children or young people through education, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, or care settings is desirable
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience working with children or young people or transferable experience in a relevant setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
