Science Tutor
Location: Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire
Contract: Part Time, 4 Hours per week, Term Time only
Start Date: September 2026
Hourly Rate: £29 – £35 per hour
GSL Education is currently recruiting for a Science Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition support for a Key Stage 4 student based in Goole. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher, experienced tutor or education professional looking to make a positive impact through personalised support.
The role will involve delivering two 2-hour tuition sessions per week (4 hours total), helping the student develop confidence, engagement and progress within Science, as they progress towards their GCSE exams.
About the Role:
- Provide high-quality 1:1 Science tuition tailored to the student’s individual needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging sessions that build understanding, confidence and subject knowledge.
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit the student’s learning style and pace.
- Develop positive relationships to encourage motivation and participation.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on learning outcomes.
- Create a calm, supportive and structured learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching or tutoring Science.
- Has a strong understanding of the Science curriculum.
- Can build rapport and create a positive learning relationship with students.
- Is confident adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
- Has experience supporting students with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
- Is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
