Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop
Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident leading a classroom and inspiring young people to stay engaged with their learning? A welcoming secondary school in Worksop is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and productive throughout the school day. Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff, you will help maintain high standards of behaviour, support pupils during lesson transitions and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise whole-class learning using pre-prepared lesson plans.

Maintain good classroom behaviour and keep students engaged with their work.

Support students across a range of subjects and abilities.

Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student participation.

Promote a safe, structured and positive learning environment.

Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Confidence leading groups of students independently.

A calm, organised and adaptable approach.

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Experience within education or transferable experience working with young people is advantageous.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
