Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently hiring an Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work within a supportive and inclusive specialist educational setting in Scarborough. We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated support professional who is passionate about helping young children develop the confidence, communication, and life skills they need to thrive.
Early Years Learning Support Assistant Role:
The successful Early Years Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to provide personalised support for children in the Early Years, including those with additional learning needs. We are looking to recruit an Early Years Learning Support Assistant who can create a nurturing learning environment, encourage early development, and help children reach their individual milestones.
Early Years Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children within the Early Years setting
- Assist with the delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities that promote early development
- Support children with SEND, including Autism, speech and language, and communication needs where appropriate
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and personal development through positive interactions
- Monitor children's progress and share observations with teachers and support staff
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Early Years Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an Early Years or educational setting is desirable
- Knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is advantageous
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism or speech and language needs, is beneficial
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- A caring, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting young children's learning and wellbeing
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
