Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: September 2026
Are you an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher who is passionate about helping pupils grow in confidence and achieve their full potential? A welcoming primary school in Barnsley is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and encourage a love of learning. You will support pupils as they prepare for the next stage of their education, using creative teaching strategies to develop their knowledge, confidence and independence. Working alongside a supportive team, you will play an important role in ensuring every child is challenged and encouraged to succeed.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Assess, monitor and record pupils' progress to inform future learning.

Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school's policies.

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.

Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching within a Key Stage 2 setting is desirable.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A passion for delivering engaging and high-quality primary education.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
