About the Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring learning continues in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will quickly establish positive relationships with students, maintain high classroom standards and adapt confidently to different school environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and, where required, adapt learning activities to meet students' needs.

  • Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment.

  • Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.

  • Follow school policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.

  • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.

  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues across different school settings.

  • Adapt quickly to new classrooms and school routines.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Previous teaching experience within UK schools is desirable.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A flexible and professional approach to teaching.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
