Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain focused and complete the work set by the class teacher. You will maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively and provide support to students throughout the school day. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during the absence of the regular teacher.

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

  • Support pupils with questions relating to the work provided.

  • Maintain a safe, organised and productive classroom environment.

  • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • A confident, calm and professional approach.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings.

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience within education or a similar setting is advantageous.
