Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain focused and complete the work set by the class teacher. You will maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively and provide support to students throughout the school day. Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during the absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

Support pupils with questions relating to the work provided.

Maintain a safe, organised and productive classroom environment.

Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A confident, calm and professional approach.

Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings.

Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Experience within education or a similar setting is advantageous.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
