Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide valuable support to pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them stay engaged, build confidence and make progress in their learning. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will adapt your approach to meet individual needs and play an important role in creating a positive learning experience each day.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with their learning on an individual basis and in small groups.

Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.

Encourage confidence, independence and active participation.

Adapt support to meet the individual needs of pupils.

Help maintain a safe, organised and positive learning environment.

Record and share relevant observations on pupil progress with teaching staff.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Experience within an educational setting is advantageous.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
