Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are inviting applications from Behaviour Support professionals for amazing schools in Sheffield. We are looking for resilient, compassionate, and proactive individuals who can build positive relationships with pupils, promote constructive behaviour, and help create a supportive learning environment.
The Behaviour Support is going to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural guidance, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and the skills needed to engage successfully in education.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils with behavioural needs
- Encourage positive behaviour through consistent guidance and effective interventions
- Work alongside teachers to implement behaviour support strategies and individual plans
- Help pupils remain focused and engaged during lessons and school activities
- Monitor behavioural progress and communicate updates with the wider school team
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs in a school or similar setting is desirable
- Good understanding of behaviour management techniques and restorative approaches
- Calm, patient, and resilient attitude when responding to challenging situations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive pupil outcomes
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
To work with GSL Education as Behaviour Support, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
