Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint Early Years Practitioner (EYP) for amazing school in Sheffield. We are seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals who can provide a nurturing environment that supports children's learning, development, and wellbeing during their early educational journey.
The Early Years Practitioner position enables you to make a lasting impact by encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and independence through engaging learning experiences and positive daily interactions.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Plan and support engaging activities that promote learning through play
- Encourage children's social, emotional, language, and physical development
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with EYFS guidance
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Help create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Support children's wellbeing while following safeguarding and health and safety procedures
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Experience working with young children in an early years or educational setting
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality early years education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
