Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain engaged and productive during teacher absences. You will maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, manage behaviour effectively and encourage pupils to complete their work to the best of their ability. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced education professionals looking to build their career in schools.

Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of curriculum subjects.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Encourage students to stay focused and engaged throughout lessons.

Provide support and guidance during classroom activities where appropriate.

Record attendance, behaviour and lesson outcomes for teaching staff.

Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support students' progress.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Confidence leading groups of secondary-aged students.

A calm, organised and adaptable approach.

The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

An interest in education or previous school-based experience is advantageous.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
