Location: Medway, Kent
Salary: £130 - £250 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)
Start date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time

GSL Education Kent is currently recruiting for a dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Medway from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or a confident ECT to become part of a welcoming English department committed to delivering engaging and ambitious lessons that enable every student to reach their full potential.
The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will inspire students to develop a love of reading, writing, and communication while fostering confidence, creativity, and critical thinking.
The ideal English Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge in both English Language and English Literature
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that challenge and inspire learners
- A passion for raising attainment and supporting students of all abilities
- A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
