Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support professional, you will work closely with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, providing targeted support to help them stay engaged in learning and develop positive behaviours. You'll work alongside teachers, pastoral teams and other staff to support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create a calm and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behaviour management and emotional regulation.

  • Encourage positive participation during lessons and throughout the school day.

  • Work alongside teachers to minimise barriers to learning.

  • Build positive relationships with individual students and small groups.

  • Support smooth lesson transitions and promote positive conduct around the school.

  • Record observations and communicate progress with teaching and pastoral staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged children or young people is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, resilient and empathetic approach.

  • Confidence working with students who may display challenging behaviour.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people's wellbeing and education.

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
