Job Title: Sports Coach

Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting Sports Coach for active school in Sheffield. We are seeking energetic and motivated individuals who can use sport and physical activity to engage pupils, encourage positive behaviour, and support their overall development.

The Sports Coach role gives you the opportunity to motivate pupils through structured physical activities while promoting wellbeing, discipline, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Sports Coach Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging sports sessions that encourage participation and teamwork
  • Motivate pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills
  • Adapt coaching activities to suit pupils with different abilities and needs
  • Reinforce positive behaviour through structured physical activities
  • Work alongside teaching staff to enhance pupil engagement across the school day
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all pupils

Sports Coach Requirements:

  • Experience coaching sport or leading physical activities with children or young people
  • Ability to inspire and engage pupils through energetic and creative sessions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting pupils
  • Commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
