Contract: Temporary, Full Time, Part-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £168.80 – £261.79 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a motivated, adaptable, and passionate Secondary Teacher to work across secondary schools in Selby and the surrounding areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic educators who are committed to delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. About the Role:

As a Secondary Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism, creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and academic achievement. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every student receives an outstanding educational experience.

Core Responsibilities of the Secondary Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 within your subject specialism
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
  • Prepare students for assessments and encourage academic progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and student wellbeing

As the Ideal Secondary Teacher, You Should Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality education
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners of all abilities
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning

To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
  • Have recent experience teaching within an educational setting
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
