Contract Type: Temporary, Full Time, Part-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026
Salary Scale: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a motivated, energetic, and dedicated Teacher of PE to work across secondary schools in Goole and the surrounding areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to promoting physical wellbeing, resilience, and personal achievement. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will play a key role in helping students develop their sporting abilities, confidence, and enjoyment of physical education.
About the Role:
As a Teacher of PE, you will deliver engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will encourage students to participate in a wide range of sporting activities while developing teamwork, leadership, and a positive attitude towards health and fitness.
Core Responsibilities of the Teacher of PE:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles through a variety of physical activities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure safe practice during all activities
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and enrichment opportunities
As the Ideal Teacher of PE, You Should Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for sport and physical activity
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
- A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience teaching within an educational setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
