Pay: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting Teaching Assistant (TA) for schools in Doncaster starting in September 2026. We would like to hear from caring, enthusiastic, and dependable individuals who can work alongside teachers to provide effective classroom support and help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The Teaching Assistant position offers the opportunity to play a key role in pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while gaining valuable experience within a rewarding educational environment.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils' learning needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation throughout the school day
  • Assist with preparing learning resources and maintaining an organised classroom
  • Monitor pupils' progress and share observations with teaching staff
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting pupils
  • Commitment to promoting pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
