GSL Education is currently recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Brentwood from September.
This is a rewarding full-time opportunity to provide 1:1 support for a child in a Key Stage 1 classroom with additional Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child receives the tailored support they need to thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional SEN needs.
- Support the child's learning, communication, and emotional development throughout the school day.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children is essential.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a primary school is preferred.
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- Patient, caring, and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
