GSL Education South Yorkshire Branchare looking to appoint Teaching Assistant (TA) for schools in Barnsley. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who can work alongside teachers to provide effective classroom support and help pupils make the most of every learning opportunity.
The Teaching Assistant role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while gaining valuable experience within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation throughout the school day
- Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
- Monitor pupil progress and communicate observations with teaching staff
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupils' individual needs
- Genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed in their education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
