Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking Computer Studies Teacher (CS) for thriving schools in Sheffield. We are looking for an innovative and dedicated educator who can deliver engaging lessons, promote computational thinking, and equip pupils with the knowledge and technical skills required in an increasingly digital society.

The Computer Studies Teacher will offer an excellent opportunity to prepare pupils for future study and careers by developing their confidence in computing, programming, and digital technologies.

Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teach topics including programming, computer systems, cyber security, and digital literacy
  • Encourage pupils to develop computational thinking and practical problem-solving skills
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and innovation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and departmental development

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of computing principles and digital technologies
  • Ability to engage pupils through creative and interactive teaching approaches
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
